Why I care about micromobility

As I child, I remember adults complaining that environmentalists were making it too expensive to do business. I also remember vividly, traveling south on the 15 from the San Bernardino mountains into the riverside valley. There was a visible brown haze that we descended into, and when you crossed the line, you could smell it for a few minutes before your senses became acclimated to it. I thought that was just the way the world was. I made that trip decades later as an adult, and the stinky brown haze was gone. I remember thinking… “Huh, I guess the environmentalists were right.”

Bikes are better than cars

The scales didn’t really fall from my eyes until I started cycling. I have always been interested in infrastructure and city planning, but I was unable to see any future other than more lanes and more cars.

I don’t want to live in that world full of stinky brown poison. I want to live in a clean and healthy world full of healthy individuals. I believe all of our choices matter, and that humans can collectively build a good world or a bad world through the work we do. That is why I am dedicated to working with companies who share my desire to create healthier cities through the advancement of micro-mobility products and complete streets.

If that sounds like you, then let’s start the conversation.
